WA Inmate Assaults Counselor |

ONROE, Wash. -- A counselor was held against a wall by an inmate Wednesday at the Monroe Correctional Complex. The inmate, Darrel Curtis Holm, was restrained by police in less than 30 seconds according to a press release from the Department of Corrections. The counselor was not injured. Holm, 44, was in the Special Offender Unit when he approached a female counselor and held her against her will while talking to her. Officers said they used minimal force to restrain him. While holding her, Holm said he did not want to be released from prison in December, and wanted to be convicted of a new felony. Holm has been jailed since 2003 on robbery charges out of King County.
