Harare(ZimEye)-A female prison officer is facing an axe from the Zimbabwe Prison Service for sending a valentine present to a convicted and serving inmate. Female Prison officer Grade one (PO1)Mapuranga of Harare Central Prison was on Friday transferred to Chikurubi female prison and subsequently suspended pending dismissal for having an affair with a serving prisoner. According to a senior prison official who is in the investigation team dealing with the case, Mapuranga on Monday 14 February smuggled into prison a valentine card bearing her name to one B-class inmate identified as Fani Moyo.
