| Phony Inmate Taxes Costly To Indiana |

Indianapolis - Some Indiana prison inmates are accused of filing falsified tax forms and illegally getting over a million dollars in refunds. One thing that the nation's prison inmates have is time, and lots of it. They've used some of that time to defraud the IRS out of $39.1 million in federal tax refunds in 2009. That figure is just what the government knows of, and it was included in an IRS report to Congress released in January. Indiana prisoners are some of the most prolific phony tax filers in the nation. Brad Grass is having is taxes prepared by his accountant, and he can't believe the scope of the scam.
