| DOC Officer's Injury Under Investigation |

ROME — State police are continuing to investigate how a corrections officer suffered a head injury while working at the Oneida Correctional Facility in Rome last week, officials said. Todd Yurack was falling in and out of consciousness when he was discovered by other people in a stairwell at the facility sometime in the early afternoon last Thursday, state police Troop D Capt. Mark Lincoln said Tuesday. Yurack has since told police that he doesn’t remember what happened, Lincoln said. “We have not been able to establish how the injury to this employee occurred,” Lincoln said. “Clearly with that setting, we're investigating it as an assault, but there’s also the potential that it could be accidental.” Read More. |
