According to prison reports , on Monday , February 21 , at about 2:20 p.m. , inmate Steven Fimbres was battered by two other inmates in the prisons maximum security yard. Before staff could stop the attack , Fimbres sustained several puncture wounds. He was pronounced dead at the prison's emergency room shortly after the attack. The Centinela State Prison Investigative Services Unit processed the crime scene and the Office of the Inspector General's Bureau of Independent Review was notified. Read More. |
