Escapee caught near CCU |

Horry County police arrested an inmate after he escaped from work duty Wednesday. Major Joey Johnson with J Reuben Long Detention Center says around 2:30 p.m. Patrick Cassidy walked off from work duty with the Solid Waste Authority. Cassidy is serving a 60 day sentence for forgery and receiving stolen goods. Police captured him around four hours later off Highway 501 near the Coastal Carolina University campus.
