LARGO — A man driving a car with a stolen license plate was arrested Saturday morning after, police said, he fled from a traffic stop with an infant in his car. Charles A. Slaughter, 24, of 10913 126th Ave. N in Largo also was driving without a valid license and had marijuana on him when he was arrested, Pinellas County deputies said. Slaughter was charged with fleeing and eluding, driving while license suspended or revoked, petty theft and possession of marijuana. According to arrest reports, a sheriff's deputy saw Slaughter leave a convenience store at Walsingham and Ridge roads around 10 a.m. and ran his tag, which came back as having been stolen from Largo.
