After a two-week-long fugitive search, the Gadsden County man accused of beating his girlfriend and then driving off was captured Monday in Tampa. U.S. Marshals arrested Bradley S. Bruce, 38, at a house with his sister, said Marshals spokesman Marty West. Bruce, labeled "armed and dangerous" by law enforcement, was wanted on charges of aggravated battery, kidnapping with intent to inflict bodily harm, grand theft auto and robbery. "We've been looking for him pretty hard ever since we got the case," West said. "He was one of our most wanted." Bruce fled Gretna after his girlfriend was discovered the morning of Feb. 11 severely beaten at a Burger King off Interstate 10. Law-enforcement officials described her as "unrecognizable from the head up." Read More. |
