LENOIR COUNTY -- Two teens waited in a local jail to be sentenced on an attempted murder case dating back to 2009. Officials were trying to determine whether their wait was long enough to keep them from going to prison. Larry Jones, 17, and Shamone Price, 18, could walk free because of the jail credit they've earned. The two teens attempted to murder a then 16-year-old Demarkus Gooding.
