Prison Guard Fired After Murder |

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Officials said a man charged with killing two small-town postal workers during a robbery has been fired from his job as a Tennessee prison guard. Department of Corrections spokeswoman Dorinda Carter tells The Associated Press that Jennie Jobe, warden at the Lois DeBerry Special Needs Facility in Nashville, sent a letter to Chastain Montgomery Sr. on Wednesday telling him he's fired. The 47-year-old Montgomery is being held in a federal prison in Memphis on charges that he shot Paula Robinson and Judy Spray inside the Henning, Tenn., post office on Oct. 18.
