A 24-year-old Mount Pleasant parolee is back in court in Midland County after being caught with methamphetamine in a BAYANET investigation. Chad Michael Moore faces one count of delivery of methamphetamine, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison. Court documents show the offense occurred on Jan. 13 in Greendale Township, and that the case was investigated by the Bay Area Narcotics Enforcement Team. Moore was arraigned on Feb. 4 by Midland County District Court Judge John H. Hart, who set bond at $250,000 cash or surety. District Judge Stephen P. Carras oversaw the preliminary hearing in the case on Feb. 23, which included testimony from a BAYANET detective, and found there was probable cause to believe a crime was committed and that it was committed by the defendant. The case is set for a pretrial conference in the circuit court this week. Read More. |
