In a series of telephone calls from jail, the woman accused of selling her grandson in a Daytona Beach parking lot proclaimed her innocence to friends, blamed the crime on her daughters and vowed that she would never serve time in prison for the offense.

Patty Sharee Bigbee, 45, also said she had found "the Lord" in her jail cell, recently obtained records show.

Locked up for a little more than a month until her December release, Bigbee called friends from the lockup incessantly -- one Bigbee friend complained to another that the suspect had called her 37 times in one day -- during her early days in protective custody at the Volusia County Branch Jail.

The bulk of the conversations focused on Bigbee begging people for money so she could post her $100,000 bail.
