| Officer May Have Case Over Termination |

A former Iowa prison employee who claimed he was wrongfully discharged after blowing the whistle on alleged staff misconduct is entitled to further review of his complaints, the Iowa Court of Appeals ruled Monday. The appeals panel reversed a decision by District Judge John Bauercamper. The Allamakee County judge had dismissed the lawsuit filed against state officials by Joseph P. Tekippe, a former officer at the Luster Heights prison camp in northeast Iowa. The ruling returns the case to the district court for further proceedings.
