A Missouri Department of Corrections official died after her car ran off the road on U.S. 67, officials said Tuesday. According to a press release, District Administrator Debra Collins was headed to a meeting in Poplar Bluff Friday when her vehicle overturned in a ditch on the highway. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Collins had served the department in some capacity for 25 years. Her district encompassed Butler, Carter, Ripley and Wayne counties. Read More. |
