The search for Tyrone Taylor started Wednesday morning around 10 o'clock in Texas. He'd just been sentenced to two years in prison for violating his probation and had just gotten back to jail. A car pulled up behind the jail where several other inmates were being transported. Taylor got into the car, and took off. He and his alleged accomplice crashed the car into a tree, and took off into a wooded area near Shady Pines Street and the loop.
Sheriff Kent Henson says, "We've been asking for some more transport people to help (transport inmates).  We're having to carry people back and forth to the courts, daily. Just anytime, this can happen."
Authorities say Taylor had shackles around his hands, feet and stomach when he escaped. They say he used a bolt cutter to break his chains.
"Somebody like that, with a record like that, they don't need to be out," says Sheriff Henson. "He's right where he needs to be, and the lady that was with him, that helped him get out, she will be charged right along with him."
After a 45-minute search, Chanel Garner and Tyrone Taylor were arrested. Taylor was seen walking up the creek smoking a cigarette. He reportedly told authorities to shoot him. The duo was caught just a half-mile away from the county jail.
Tyrone Taylor faces numerous charges in Angelina County. He's accused of seven aggravated armed robberies in Diboll, aggravated sexual assault of a child and burglary of a home. He also has a previous evading arrest charge.
Chanel Garner is charged with escape and aiding and abetting a felon.
