Son To Face Charges In Father's Death |

BARNSTABLE — The second of two men who allegedly murdered a South Yarmouth man in 2009 was arraigned yesterday in Barnstable District Court. Phillip R. Horton, 24, was flown Tuesday night to Massachusetts from Florida where he lived. He was arrested March 4 by the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force in the parking lot of an Orlando shopping plaza, according to court documents. Per an agreement between prosecutors and his defense attorney, Horton was ordered held without bail "without prejudice." His father William F. Horton, 71, of Windmill Village in South Dennis, was ordered held on the same condition during his arraignment Monday on the same charge. Read More. |
