LIMON - 9Wants to Know has learned the man suspected of shooting and killing a police officer and then killing himself has been on the run from various law enforcement agencies since 2009. Dennis Mark Hasty, now 52, ran out the back door of his Tennessee home in January 2009 when Roane County Sheriff's deputies in Tennessee went to the home he shared with his ex-wife for a welfare check, 9Wants to Know has learned. Investigators found two runaway teenage girls living in the same house. They also discovered Hasty had failed to register as a convicted sex offender. Authorities believe Hasty shot and killed a police officer in Limon Wednesday night. He then took his own life at the end of a four-hour standoff with police. Read More. |
