Since installing their first Guardian System on March 18, 2004 the Hillsborough County Jail in Tampa, FL. has not had a single lost property claim filed against the new system. "The Guardian System will revolutionize the way inmate property is stored and protected" says Lieutenant Clifford Brown of the Hillsborough Sheriff's office. The Guardian machine has been engineered to be as simple to use as possible and require less than 5 minutes training for workers. All adjustable controls are in a locked cabinet and machine operation has been reduced to the push of a single button. The table top machine and larger floor model have been designed to be dependable , easy to use and safe. The patent pending Guardian System secures the inmate property between a sheet of plastic and a specially formulated paper. The property is vacuum packed and trapped between the two layers which are bonded together. The package must be destroyed to recover property. When combined with a signature on the board and an inventory of property, this package presents a 100% tamper proof way to store inmate property. Once the property has been packed, it can be inserted into your current system of hanging bags, paper bags, filing cabinets etc. It can also be inserted into the Cellmate Property Box. The Cellmate box is a tamper evident box to store the Guardian sheet and clothes and misc. possessions. Both ends of the box are sealed with a peel off adhesive strip that must be destroyed to open the box. When the inmate is released, he is handed a box that contains all of his personal property. If all seals are intact, there can be no question that his property has been undisturbed since it was received by the jail. No more claims!
