Davidson County Jails Among the few Accredited |

Davidson County Sheriff's Office was recommended today for accreditation by the American Correctional Association. All five of the county jails were recommended to receive national accreditation by auditors. The auditors evaluated the facilities, safety issues, documentation, policies and procedures. Auditors conduct re-accreditation every three years. Of the nation's 3,400 jails, 163, or 5 percent, are accredited, according to the American Correctional Association. "It is extremely important to me that we are seen as a model agency in the corrections industry," Sheriff Daron Hall said in a statement.
