An Osceola County corrections officer was arrested Monday after she became angry when a school employee told her to move her vehicle from the school's crosswalk, the Sheriff's Office said today.

Maxine Lloyd, 38, has been charged with assault of battery on specified officials or employees.

Osceola deputies arrived at KOA Elementary School in Kissimmee about 3 p.m. Monday after a call about a disagreement between a parent and a school employee.

School officials told deputies that Lloyd, who had been driving a gold Toyota, stopped on the crosswalk in front of the school as a child entered her car.

When a school employee who had been directing traffic told Lloyd to move her vehicle so she wasn't blocking the crosswalk, Lloyd became upset, according to the Sheriff's Office.

She left her vehicle, and after identifying herself as "Officer Lloyd," began to yell at the school employee and push him.

Several school employees witnessed the confrontation, which also was recorded on surveillance video, according to the Sheriff's Office.
