A state correctional officer and his wife along with one of their friends have been accused of sexually battering a teenage girl who snuck out of her parents’ home at night.

According to the Dixie County Sheriff’s Office, in late March the girl told one of her parents she had been the victim of a sexual assault.

The girl said she left her home without permission to meet an adult acquaintance, Gary L. Rosson, 28, of Cross City. The girl said she accompanied Rosson to a home where there was another couple from Cross City, Adrian R. Miller, 32, and her husband, 31-year-old William R. Miller III.

The girl told investigators she was provided alcohol and that she drank until she began to feel the effects of the alcohol. Investigators say that later in the night, the three adults made sexual advances toward the teen.

Rosson and the Millers were arrested Tuesday and each charged with lewd battery on a child under age 16 and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

During a court appearance Wednesday morning, bond was set at $300,000 for each of the adults.
