A South Florida corrections officer was arrested on DUI charges after he fled the scene of a crash in Miami Beach, police said. Tulio Alberto Panesso, 28, was arrested around 8:30 a.m. Saturday after he left the scene of an accident in the 600 block of Collins Ave., according to a Miami Beach Police report. According to the report, Panesso was being followed by the other driver when police caught up to his red Ford pickup and pulled him over on the MacArthur Causeway near Terminal Isle. Panesso "exhibited difficulties" when he was told by the officer to exit his car and failed a roadside sobriety test, according to the report. Read More. |
