Inmate back in custody after being mistakenly released in error

LIVINGSTON, La. (AP) — Livingston Parish sheriff's deputies have arrested an inmate who had been released in error last week from the parish detention center. Warden Jim Brown tells The Advocate that 22-year-old Lawrence Arnold, Jr. was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service and deputies from the Sheriff's Criminal Patrol Division in Denham Springs shortly before 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Brown says Arnold is a state Department of Corrections prisoner serving 10 years on a simple robbery conviction.
