"Beginning today, there is a new leadership team in place that will take SCI Pittsburgh in a new direction," acting Corrections Secretary John Wetzel said in a press release announcing the changes. Susan McNaughton, spokeswoman for the Department of Corrections, said she couldn`t confirm whether the personnel changes were tied to an agency investigation that has resulted in the suspensions of eight corrections officers at the facility. "Lou is a dedicated professional with a proven record of achievement in assuming increasing levels of responsibility," Wetzel said. "He recently was named warden of the year by the North American Association of Wardens and Superintendents." Read More. |
