| Federal inmate escapes in Denver |

Police were searching for a man who escaped from a deputy's car Tuesday night. A search was going on along the banks of the South Platte River between Confluence Park and Coors Field, News 4 Colorado reports. Joseph Bellville was in the custody of a deputy when he managed to escape. Officers had been searching the river banks looking Bellville, but News 4 has learned he may have stolen a car. The suspect is a federal inmate who was brought to Denver for treatment at Denver Health Medical Center. He was serving time in Washington County for assault and auto theft. |
