GRAND RAPIDS -- Kent County Sheriff's detectives are investigating the death of a male inmate whose body was found in the jail Tuesday night. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday. The inmate's name was not released. Jail officials did not say what the man was behind bars for at the time of his death. Sheriff's officials said the inmate was found unresponsive around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday during the jail's medication dispensing rounds. Read More. |
