A man found dead in his Wellington home Thursday has been identified as Jason L. Gonzales, the husband of Tawneca Cobb-Gonzales. Police publicly identified the man Monday morning. Gonzales, 35, is a convicted felon who was paroled to Sumner County in 2009. The couple had been married about two-and-a-half years, according to police. Gonzales met Cobb-Gonzales, 32, when he was an inmate at the Winfield Correctional Facility and Cobb-Gonzales was a corrections officer there, multiple sources have confirmed. Cobb-Gonzales was an employee of the Winfield facility from Oct. 1, 2007 to June 10, 2008, according to Jan Lunsford, spokesperson for the Kansas Dept. of Corrections.
