MERIDIAN, Miss. (AP) — The family of an inmate who died at East Mississippi Correctional Facility in Lauderdale County is questioning a finding that Sammy Robinson committed suicide. The Clarion-Ledger reports Robinson's family has sent an intent-to-sue letter to the state Department of Corrections and the GEO Group of Boca Raton, Fla., which operates the prison. Family attorney Warren Martin Jr. says a second autopsy found several abrasions and contusions all over Robinson's body. Read More. |
