| 'Jailbirds' donate to a good cause |

Local business leaders from New Jersey headed to jail last Tuesday at the Whiskey Café in Lyndhurst until they were able to raise their "bail" for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) in Maywood. Community business leaders were arrested at their place of business and transported to the Whiskey Café to serve their time at the local MDA Lock-Up. At the Whiskey Café, the "jailbirds" were served complimentary "jail" food while they each attempted to raise $1,600 in bail money. "Last year over $47,000 was raised. This year, MDA aims to raise at least $65,000 from the event," said Valerie D'Angiolini, public affairs coordinator for the MDA. Read More. |
