Two men who showed up at the women's jail in Santee, Calif. Sunday were arrested after a license plate check revealed they came to the facility in a stolen car, 10News reported.
The men came to the attention of a deputy about 10:45 a.m. when one of them spoke to an inmate through the fence at Las Colinas Detention Facility, sheriff's Sgt. Dylan Palmer said. Such communication is prohibited.
After talking to one of the men, the deputy ran a computer check on the license plate. The men were taken into custody after their jailhouse visit, the sergeant said.
