NH DOC: Five Employees Recognized with Medals |

(Goffstown, NH) New Hampshire Department of Corrections Commissioner William L. Wrenn awarded medals to four officers and one nurse at the New Hampshire State Prison for Women. Commissioner Wrenn pinned medals on the following recipients during the July 13, 2011 ceremony. Sgt. Nicole M. Plante, Corrections Officers Shawn N. Stone and Jaime B. Weigand, Corrections Officer Trainee Christopher S. Ward, and Registered Nurse III Jean L. Chapman each received the Department’s Team Commendation medal for preventing an inmate from committing suicide in her cell on April 25, 2011. The Team Commendation medal is awarded for a highly creditable accomplishment by a team of staff members working together to resolve an incident while displaying the highest professional conduct as a result of devotion to duty or service to the public. Commissioner Wrenn said, “These employees come to work in dangerous situations and this is our way of honoring their professionalism in their service to the public. Each of these individuals is to be highly commended for their actions.” |
