LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) — Five New Mexico teenage boys face charges in separate attacks at a Las Cruces-area juvenile detention center. In one attack, a teenage detainee was beaten unconscious. In the second assault, a female guard was strangled and left tied up in a closet. After the attack on the guard, two teenage boys escaped, but were later captured.
