The Foundation of International Association of Chiefs of Police Foundation (IACP Foundation) is proud to announce the third annual Law Enforcement Business Fellowship, presented in partnership with Target and held at their headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Hosting nine command-level police professionals from across the United States, the Fellowship is a two-week instructional program focused on corporate best practices, to help provide law enforcement officers with a new approach to leadership and management training. “This innovative approach to leadership development for professional policing is long overdue,” said IACP Foundation Chair, Chief Michael Carroll of the West Goshen, Pennsylvania Township Police Department. “One issue that all of us in the law enforcement community are dealing with is reduced budgets, and oftentimes professional development of our future leaders can be put on the back burner. This public private partnership with Target is an outstanding example of how the private sector can play a meaningful role in 21st century policing.” The Fellowship was developed in collaboration with Target team members and under the auspices and review of the IACP Foundation Board of Officers, which is comprised of police chiefs and corporate partners. The training program provides expert direction in such fields as crisis management, community partnerships, change management, forensics, and media relations. “Target is proud to once again partner with the IACP to present this unique program,” said Brad Brekke, vice president, Assets Protection, Target. “Target is truly committed to supporting public safety programs across the country that help build safe communities.” The Fellowship is made possible through a generous grant from Target to the IACP Foundation which covers expenses associated with the training for the law enforcement participants. ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CHIEFS OF POLICE FOUNDATION Through its efforts in leadership training, scholarship for survivors, professional development opportunities and global outreach, the IACP Foundation brings together public-private partnerships that benefit today's active law enforcement leader.
