Man with Mariha link sent back to jail |

A man considered a person of interest in the death of a 5-year-old Detroit girl is being held in the Wayne County Jail on probation violations. But the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office had yet to receive a warrant request Monday in the case of Mariha Smith, who was killed last month. Darnell Cheatham, 19, who reportedly was dating one of Mariha's aunts, was found Monday to be in violation of his probation stemming from a 2010 second-degree home invasion case. A Wayne County judge ordered Cheatham held for 45 days, a spokesman for the Michigan Department of Corrections said. Read More. |
