New Laws Impact Sex Offenders

BATON ROUGE, La. -- More than 230 new laws, from the arcane to the attention-grabbing, take effect Monday after being passed by legislators earlier this year.

Among the changes, abortion clinics must post new signs about adoption options and child support. Certain sex offenders have to shut down their Facebook and MySpace pages. Hunters can shoot wild pigs without a license. Businesses in Louisiana face heftier penalties for hiring illegal immigrants.
