A Three Forks veterinarian accused of nearly choking his wife to death was sentenced Monday to five years with the state Department of Corrections. David Matthew Green, 38, pleaded guilty in June to aggravated assault. He has been jailed since October. He also was sentenced to an additional 15 years probation. Green had been charged with assault with a weapon and criminal endangerment. Those charges were dropped in a plea agreement with Gallatin County prosecutors.
