Man faces charges after going ‘crazy’ |

A rural Superior man accused of threatening to harm his neighbors, chasing his brother with a machete and having possession of a sawed-off shotgun pleaded not guilty to four felony charges Friday in Douglas County Circuit Court. John Anthony Hudacek, 50, faces charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated battery, second-degree reckless endangerment and two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon stemming from incidents that allegedly took place in July. According to the criminal complaint: A female witness said Hudacek stopped by her home July 9. He told her that he was angry with their neighbor, who works for the Department of Corrections, over his recent stay in jail. Hudacek threatened to make the neighbor’s spouse pay and poison their dog. When the witness and her husband gave Hudacek a ride home, he pulled out a sawed-off shotgun and cycled the gun to eject several live shells. The couple then left his residence. Read More. |
