Oregon corrections department says trial run of execution goes smoothly |

A trial run of an execution at the Oregon State Penitentiary on Tuesday went smoothly and allowed staff to practice in the event that death-row inmate Gary Haugen is scheduled to be put to death, according to the state corrections department. Corrections spokeswoman Jeanine Hohn declined to identify issues or problems that arose in the practice execution, saying that overall the exercise "was really successful." Read More. |
