Appeal court says Casey Anthony must serve probation |

An appeal court delivered a terse, two-page order Tuesday stating simply that Casey Anthony did not serve her one year of probation in jail while awaiting trial charged in her daughter's death. The ruling by the 5th District Court of Appeal in Daytona Beach cut through the arguments of her legal team and likely means the 25-year-old former murder suspect will have to report to officials of the state Department of Corrections by noon Friday. Legal experts suggested that Anthony's defense team could seek another review by the federal courts or, more likely, the Florida Supreme Court. The Supreme Court could entertain the same defense arguments made to the appeal court, but the defense cannot appeal Tuesday's order to the high court. Anthony's legal options are limited, said Richard Hornsby, local defense attorney and WESH-Channel 2 legal analyst. "I think this is the end of it," Hornsby said. Questions about Anthony's probation arose after her acquittal in the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie.
