Inmate Escapes From Housing Unit |

MANCHESTER, N.H. -- The New Hampshire Department of Corrections said a minimum security inmate escaped from a Manchester housing unit around 5 p.m. Wednesday. Officials said Kenneth Edward Willette, 42, of New York, ran away from a corrections officer at the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit after he was found in possession of contraband. Authorities said the contraband appeared to be a synthetic drug. The Department of Corrections said the officer pursued the offender several blocks before losing sight of him. Read More. |
