LACONIA, N.H. -- An inmate who cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet in Manchester has been captured in New Jersey. Belknap County Sheriff Craig Wiggin said David Halterman, 41, cut off his bracelet on Sept. 9 and was declared an escapee from the Belknap County Department of Corrections. Investigators determined that Halterman left New Hampshire on a Trailways bus and tracked him to New Jersey. He was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Newark. Read More. |
