Zoning commission approves more beds |

HELENA -- After a year in the works, Helena’s zoning commission tabled their decision about potential zoning regulation changes regarding landscaping and parking after questions were raised about some aspects of the proposed changes at their public hearing Tuesday night. Rocky Mountain Development Council Executive Director Gene Leuwer pointed out that among the changes to the parking chapter, housing for the elderly was not brought into the new document. The implications could mean that future RMDC senior housing projects could require up to four times the parking space for a population that, in RMDC’s current senior housing projects, don’t need very much parking space.
