NORMAN OK — A free screening of a film on women in prison followed by a panel discussion will be Tuesday in the Thurman J. White Forum Auditorium, 1704 Asp Ave. The showing of “Women Behind Bars: The Voices of Oklahoma's Incarcerated Women and Their Children” will be hosted by the University of Oklahoma's College of Liberal Studies. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The screening is at 7 p.m., followed by a panel discussion and reception. According to the state Corrections Department, Oklahoma ranks first in the nation in female incarceration rate, incarcerating 132 women per 100,000 population, compared to the national average of 68.
