| Officers capture Lansing prison escapee |

An escapee from Lansing Correctional Facility was apprehended Friday by state and federal officers in the Gardner area. Ronny Dale Peters, 33, had escaped from the prison's minimum-custody compound Wednesday. An investigation surrounding the escape is ongoing. Details of Peters' method of evading security personnel won't be released at this time for security reasons. Peters was caught about 11 a.m. by officers of the Kansas Department of Corrections, as well as personnel with the U.S. Marshals Service. Read More. |
