Crews were cleaning up a diesel fuel spill last week near the Clark County (Nev.) jail, and surrounding downtown Las Vegas. Authorities say more than 100 gallons of diesel spilled from a generator on the 12th floor about 4:00 AM, and began flowing into storm drains. Some prisoners were moved from one part of the jail tower to another. But officials say there've been no injuries reported. There's still a smell of petroleum around Bridger Avenue and Casino Center Boulevard, where crews are trying to mop up the mess. |
