| Sex offender arrested after five years on the run |

After five years on the lam, a sex offender wanted in Volusia County has finally been located. Nelson Perez Jr., 27, was arrested Thursday in south Seminole County where he was living with his girlfriend, Volusia County Sheriff's spokesman Brandon Haught said. He is accused of violation of probation on a charge of lewd and lascivious conduct, failing to register as a sex offender in Volusia County and failing to appear in court on Volusia County charge of fleeing and attempting to elude an officer.
