County jail declares overcrowding emergency |

The Livingston County Jail declared an overcrowding emergency today, but no inmates had to be released early, the sheriff said. Sheriff Bob Bezotte said the jail averaged an inmate population of more than 260 a day for five consecutive days, which exceeds the 254-bed facility allows. Read More. |
