CRANSTON, R.I. – Corrections Director Ashbel T. Wall II has announced the promotion of Danilo Claros of North Kingstown, R.I., a 12-year veteran of the Department, to Correctional Officer Lieutenant. Lieutenant Claros is assigned to the Anthony P. Travisono Intake Service Center. He has also worked at the Women’s Facilities, both men’s Medium Security Facilities, and Minimum Security. Members of his family and his supervisors attended a promotional ceremony celebrating his new role on Thursday, September 29th, in the main Administration Building of the Department of Corrections. While introducing Lt. Claros on that occasion, Assistant Director of Institutions and Operations David McCauley noted that it was a very competitive process, and that Lt. Claros rose to the top as “the best of the best.” He holds an Associates Degree in Science from the Community College of Rhode Island, where he graduated with Honors. |
