TARPON SPRINGS FL — Two men incarcerated on drug charges escaped from a work-release facility Sunday afternoon, authorities say. The men, Ronald Williams, 30, and Levar Murray, 24, had not been found as of late Sunday. Authorities say they left the Tarpon Springs facility around 1:30 p.m. "They weren't working at the time, but left the work center itself," said Tarpon Springs police Capt. Barb Templeton. Authorities set up a perimeter around the center at 566 Brady Road. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office assisted in the search, providing canine units and a helicopter, said Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Marianne Pasha. Pasha said she recalled other escapes from the facility in the past. Read More. |
