Swiss firm opposes its drug for executions |

Lincoln Nebraska -- Swiss pharmaceutical company Naari says it was cheated and doesn’t want its anaesthetic used in prisoner executions in the U.S. The Lincoln Nebraska Journal Star reports Nebraska officials received sodium thiopental made by Naari. That drug is the first of three used in the capital punishment process. The paper quotes a letter from Naari saying the company did not deliver the drug to Nebraska, and the company opposes medications used in executions. Read More. |
